Our green campus, housing Scientific Roots (PTY) Ltd and the AgriBioTech Non-Profit Company
practically demonstrates the principles of sustainability through
the use of solar-power, rain-water harvesting and re-using,
recycling, reducing and repurposing
from our building-rubble gabion stairways, our wattle-and-apple prunings compost bins, bottle-top and wattle mulch, our paper-brick insulation walls, our found-wood feature walls, our reed-and-breeze block park benches and the entire AgriBioTech complex built from repurposed, dis-used shipping containers.
The Pholla Indigenous Medicinal garden showcases beautiful examples of our indigenous plants whilst the green-houses and crop fields are used by the Agripreneurs and Contract Growers of AgriBioTech to explore the many beneficial uses of these plants in interesting value-added products (ranging from pest repellents, health and beauty aids, wholesome foods and beverages and human and animal remedies).
