WHY YOUR INVESTMENT MATTERS

Now, more than ever, and going forward – food, science, health, entrepreneurship, skills development and South African manufacturing in “new” jobs, is of the utmost importance.

AgriBioTech is a non-profit organisation. Our mission is to facilitate new income generation opportunities for the unemployed and promote the development of sustainable rural livelihoods in South Africa.
We mentor and train Agripreneurs in developing and managing their own commercially viable enterprises by utilising and adding value to South Africa’s indigenous and conventional resources.
To promote and develop sustainable rural livelihoods in South Africa, the AgriBioTech Agripreneurial Incubator created this innovative programme for the self-employment of youth, women and the disabled as well as contract growing opportunities for small-scale farmers.

Entrepreneurs and start-up SMMEs are provided access to campus facilities (offices, labs and manufacturing spaces), equipment (for research, plant production and processing), maintenance and up-keep of infrastructure and equipment, labour in support of entrepreneurial activities (8 research and field technicians), as well as access to business support services, including accounting, marketing, branding and mentorship.

Each enterprise – with an agricultural graduate or disabled entrepreneur at the helm – uses resources that are sustainably grown and supplied by small-scale, contract-grower farmers in rural communities. This in turn contributes to the promotion and development of sustainable rural livelihoods in South Africa.

Supporting our Agripreneurs and their initiatives greatly contribute towards social, community and economic- upliftment, while supporting ecologically sound farming and production practices.
